When Mick Jagger Presents in Business Meeting

At an international summit Sir Mick Jagger has humiliated David Cameron again by partying with Boris Johnson. The Rolling Stones singer, 68, joined Boris at a super-exclusive drinks event during the World Economic Summit in Davos.

On Wednesday night the pair talked for more than 20 minutes at the nightcap bash thrown by tycoon Sir Martin Sorrell in the Swiss ski resort. It was 24 hours after Sir Mick angrily pulled out of an appearance with the PM, saying he was a victim of Tory spin after newspaper claims he was a “closet Conservative”.

To promote Britain before the Olympics, he was supposed to be the star guest at a tea party yesterday. Sir Mick said on Tuesday: “There has been a lot of comment about my political allegiances, which are inaccurate. I think it’s best I decline the invitation.”

At Sir Martin’s apartment to talk about London 2012 the row did not stop him making a beeline for Mayor Boris, who had hosted the tea party. “Sir Mick said if he can do anything to make it a success, he is up for it,” A source said.
